Description: The perfumer Henri Robert succeeded Ernest Beaux and composed Chanel N°19, the last perfume to be selected by Gabrielle Chanel in person. She was looking for a bold statement. The perfumer harnessed the green notes in his formula by incorporating iris, a very expensive raw material from Florence, Italy. It brings a feminine touch to N°19. Gabrielle Chanel was born on August 19, so she used her birth date to name her new, spirited perfume.
